Dr. Duerinckx & Cardiac CT/MR Education

Dr Duerinckx is Professor and Chairman of Radiology at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. He is an international educator and consultant and a cardiac radiologist.

Dr Duerinckx is a Past President (1999-2001) and an active Board member (1995-2011) of the North American Society for Cardiac Imaging (NASCI). He just joined the 2011 – 2012 Cardiac Imaging (IMG) Joint Committee of theCouncil on Cardiovascular Radiology & Intervention (CVRI) and Council on Clinical Cardiology (CLCD) of the American Heart Association, with a first meeting in Orlando, FL on Nov 13, 2011. Dr Duerinckx was an invited Guest speaker at the 9th International Congress on Coronary Artery Disease (ICCAD), Oct 23-26, 2011 in Venice, Italy. Duerinckx was also the invited Guest Speaker at the Eastern Radiological Society on Monday, April 4, 2011 in Tampa, FL, USA. Dr Duerinckx was the Chairman of the Cardiac Subcommittee for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 RSNA Scientific Program Committee (SPC). The RSNA is the Radiological Society of North America. We are restarting the RADIOLOGY RESIDENCY Training program at Howard, within the very near future (July 2013). We are very close to the Washington DC V.A. Medical Center and its leadership.

HISTORY: Dr Duerinckx's previous 320, 256 & 64 slice "International" Cardiac CTA Course was April 2-5, 2009 in Naples, Florida at the Naples Grande Beach Resort, an LXR Resort. Dr Duerinckx has worked with some of the most advanced CT and MR technology to allow the performance of Cardiac CT and MR examinations. Dr Duerinkcx offfers a variety of training and educational programs in this field to expose clinicians, technologists and other interested parties to this new technology.

FEES: The fee for Cardiac CT Training Course (Sat-Sun, June 26-27, 2009) was $950 for physicians.

No CME Yet (pending): It is the policy of the International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. (iiCME) to comply with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standards for commercial support of CME activities.

During each course, participants will have extensive exposure to interpretation of coronary CT angiography data sets, including hands-on evaluation of 50 cases, some with correlation to invasive coronary angiography.
(50 cases guaranteed in 2 half day sessions over 2 days)

Level I Certificates will not be issued after each class. Courses based on the ACCF/AHA and ACR Guidelines.
